The most challenging route of the weekend, 66 miles featuring over 10 climbs and 7.6k feet of elevation gain in beautiful Hocking Hills. Not for the faint of heart! We will have several refueling stops, and also the group will regroup atop hills or at the bottom of descents. A true test of the SISU spirit!

It is noteworthy that Ohio hills are short and punchy. It’s not uncommon for a hill to be over 10% gradient. Everyone should be prepared for the challenge, but not feel pressured to stay with the group. We will certainly have a diverse group of mixed abilities and fitness levels.
SAG:
We have two gracious volunteers to drive a SAG vehicle on Sat/Sun that will be available in case of unrepairable mechanical, and also will hold our extra nutrition and hydration, serving as a refueling stop. We will have coolers for riders to place their extra drinks, along with some generic hydration supplements in the event that folks did not bring enough/want something different.
We expect most people will want to manage their own nutrition preferences/needs, but some nutrition will be available if needed.
Cellular phone service will be spotty on these routes - we may have to be creative and be in contact with SAG at the tops of hills
Weather:
The forecast looks extremely hot this weekend. We’re asking everyone to plan accordingly with nutrition, electrolytes, and hydration. In the event of unexpected inclement weather (severe storms), we will adjust the day’s plans.
PLEASE BRING SUNSCREEN
Apparel:
If you have a SISU kit/jersey, please plan to wear it on Saturday. We will get a SISU group photo and generate some media.
Post-Ride Food:
We plan to assemble as a group after our challenging days (Sat/Sun) and have dinner/libations at Outerbelt Brewery. We’ll occupy the patio area, which also allows dogs. Time TBA - dependent on when our ride finishes.
